Adventures in Web Exploring

It was high time to start exploring other websites and what better way to start than looking at my peers' sites?
I've decided to start with a good friend, Manda Thomas, whom I share a fiber class with! This is her page:
Now, I love how clean her page is, and it's easy to move around! It's simple yet aesthetically pleasing, I absolutely adore her color pallet. Seeing those Wix stock images, I know she has to put in her fiber works soon. Aside from being visual eye candy, her works are also labeled perfectly! I can't wait to see more of your work, Manda, and I'll make sure to keep this site bookmarked!
Up next is Asher Perez's website. I've seen some of their works in other classes we've shared and I really dig their bold, edgy style.
This is their page:
The use of a dark background for their page makes their works pop out as they often work with a lot of reds and whites that can be used to contrast a dark grey background. The homepage is clean and easily accessible as well. My one request is it would be lovely to have a preview of the title as your mouse hovers over the pieces. Other than that, this is a really cool site and I'll happily subscribe to your website.
Next on the list is Stephanie Hobrecker, whom I think I share an art history class with. It's crazy how faces keep popping up.
This is her website:
Stephanie has an impressive portfolio full of motion graphics and animations! The grey background of her website is very pleasing to the eye. There's something about white backgrounds on a websites that turn me away, feels almost sterile. This one is nice and comforting. It would be nice for this website to have pages for you to sort your work, because what will happen when you start posting more work? Endless scrolling? It's much better to have everything organized while there's still a manageable amount of content. Stephanie, I salute your budding career!
Last for now (maybe I should do more of these), I'll be looking at Salvatore Sapienza's website! Never shared a class with him, but saw him on the bus a few times, small world!
This is his page:
Remember how I said a white background feels sterile? While I'm still right, the white background seems to help sell his work by giving it a more professional air. Not to mention that he uses a lot of whites in his works, so it matches his content. My little nitpick is the presence of the menu button on the right. I feel like it's a little unnecessary to have if all your pages fit on one tab. Other than that, I see a strong future for you, Salvatore. I can tell you have a whole leg through the door. Keep it pushing!
I had a good time looking through these pages. I'd like to make another round of website reviews, so feel free to send me your websites for me to look at, especially if yours comes with an autograph page! I wish more pages would bring that back! I'm looking to code one in soon, so look out for that. As for interviews, I'm looking for small bands/artists to talk to along with finding my own style of interviewing. This summer will be full of exciting opportunities, so enjoy yourselves!
